Bromelain from pineapple extract is a mixture of protein digestive enzymes, which are also called proteases. The popular pineapple extract is closely related to the traditional folk medicine of indigenous tribes in South America. Currently, bromelain is mainly used to eliminate digestive ailments. It facilitates the digestion of proteins, thanks to which they do not linger in the intestines, and additionally has a positive effect on the body during weight loss and soothes inflammation.
